Sport and Inclusion for Refugees in Europe (INSPIRE) is a 12-month project funded by the European Commission seeking to increase the potential for host communities to successfully engage and integrate refugees through sport. The project focuses on identifying refugees’ needs for and barriers to participation in local sport activities, support the provision of sporting activities and provide opportunities for refugees and asylum seekers at grassroots sport level, while promoting a transferable methodology based on the findings.
An online survey, conducted by the German Sport University Cologne, will gather the experience of the LGBTI community in and around grassroots sport. The questionnaire is available in six languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Hungarian.
